Grounding Meditation

Sit comfortably and close your eyes.

Take some deep breaths and focus on your breathing. A great technique to use for deep breathing is the 7-11 technique (click here to access the blog on 7-11 breathing).

Now, ask for, visualise or intend for a grounding cord that connects your star chakras (bottom of your feet) to the Earth’s core. Visualise these grounding cords travelling through the layers of Earth until they reach the Earth’s core. You can add any colours to your cords that you intuitively feel you need.

Once you feel you are connected to the Earth’s core, ask Mother Earth to take all negative emotions and energies from you, and anything else that no longer serves you, down through your grounding cords. Sit in this energy until you feel you are back centred into your body.

Once that is done, ask Mother Earth to fill you up with positivity, light and love (and anything else that you would like such as happiness, joy, etc) by sending you white light, up through your grounding cords and into each of your chakras; starting from the base chakra, to the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, to the throat chakra, the third eye chakra and up to the crown chakra…ensuring that you intend for each chakra to be cleared and balanced. Sit with the energy as it clears and balances each chakra, before moving on.

Once this beautiful white light has finished clearing and balancing your crown chakra, allow it to overflow out of your crown chakra and into your auric field…clearing and balancing your auric field…repairing all holes, rips and tears in your auric field. Sit in this energy until you feel this process is complete.

At the end, don’t forget to thank Mother Earth for this, as well as for everything else that she does for you.

You are now grounded.
